The Indigenous Impact Alliance
The Indigenous Impact Alliance is a groundbreaking collective impact initiative helmed by five, beautifully poignant Indigenous-led documentary film teams, supported by the Doc Society Climate Story Unit. The teams of Yintah, Singing Back the Buffalo, Sugarcane, Remaining Native, and Bring Them Home have been exploring meaningful ways to expand Indigenous creative power and narrative sovereignty, and creative avenues to amplify Indigenous stories through strategic collective engagement.
A JOINT SCREENING TOUR
In September 2025, the Indigenous Impact Alliance launched a joint screening tour for community-led screenings across Turtle Island and beyond. Through Kinema, the collective organized over 250 in person screenings throughout the tour.
REZ TOUR GUIDE & CASE STUDY VIDEO
To help strengthen the practice of Indigenous-led impact producing, the collective supported the creation of the Rez Tour Guide and Video, developed by Good Trade Productions.
A SHARED ENGAGEMENT PLATFORM
Throughout the year-long engagement, the Indigenous Impact Alliance developed a collaborative platform with Plus Media Solutions to collectively highlight each film’s impact resources, helping audiences engage with multiple films and shared actions.
